Yearbook Plans Begin ith Surnmer. Workshop It took more than writing copy, making posters, drawing layouts, and printing photographs, to pro- duce the Bayside Mariner. The Mariner staff taking their inspiration from sponsor Miss Erskine, oversaw the taking of class pictures and engineered the sales campaign. The annual sponsored the Queen Mari- ner Dance taxed ingenuity and emotions, but proved to be a huge success. ' N Bayside's Choral Department experienced a very rewarding year. The Girls' Chorus gave four per- formances and contributed to the fall production of the Now Sound. Six performances were given by the Concert Cho- rus including a Christmas presentation at school and the traditional service at Bayside Baptist Church where they performed the difficult Daniel Pinkham Sacra Simfonia, accompanied by members of Bayside's band. The Concert Chorus ended their year by performing for Baccalaureate Services and the Graduation ceremony. Bayside's Madrigals were much in demand this year. During the Christmas season alone, they per- formed at Military Circle Mall, Adam Thoroughgood House, and had the pleasure of entertaining at the Azalea Gardens Rotunda when Miss USA, Debbie Shelton, lit the giant candle for the Candle-lighting Service. The Madrigals made numberous other en- gagements and had a very fruitful year. V 131
