,A Being proud of your school is one of the first things a Bayside student learns. Actually, he doesn't learn it, the feeling grows while he's walking down the hall, or talking to a friend, or in a club meeting. Sports are an important focal point of much of this pride. Whether a member of the team or an excited observer, the students and faculty exhibit their pride even if the score is against them. Youth is their pride,' a young schoolwith young people grows to form a bond that will last forever. Pride in oneself is encour- aged in order to excel in a particular phase of life and to mold a character that is original and unique. These goals are spurred, and, therefore, pride is strength- ened through the many facets of the Bay- side curriculum. Competition facilitates the growth of pride in achievement. The Queen Mariner Dance, the Homecoming Court, the Miss Bayside Pageant, Bay- side offers so many ways a student can reach a pinnacle of success. The pride of a country is its youth and this pride begins at school. q ,, . M... . ,...w--- '- . . 4:-c,. . 1.3, 5-115- ..
