Gary Parisi f8Ol and Paul Kaul- back C173 defend Marlin goal line as Granby player attempts to score. Coaches Maynard, Vesprille, and Caldwell show mixed emotions as they view the Granby Game. Granby scored the first five times the ball was received, winning with a score of 37-7 over Bayside. The Comets used a simple offense, quick pitchouts to the half-backs, and sweeps around the ends. Bayside's only touchdown came when Flay Emerson scored from the two yard line after two consecutive fifteen yard penalties against Granby. Mark Laubach passed to Ken Fleightler for the extra point. All Princess Anne has to do is throw a helmet and a pair of shoulder pads out there, was a remark made prior to the Bayside-P.A. game. However, the Marlins held the Cavaliers' attack surprisingly well. The 19-O score was the result of the Cavaliers half-safe performance. Their offense left much to be desired, as Bayside got another banner performance from its all-metro fullback, Ray Emerson, who starred in the new role of single wing tailback. Granhu, Pfl., Deep Creek Defeat lllailins Princess Anne is about to score as J. McClurg 1621, R. Emerson t33J, and J. Myers l3OJ act as Bayside's defensive standouts. f .
