The club hopes to encourage similar clubs to meet the demands of school affiliation through which they may prove their ability to earn the rights deserved of the citizen and sportsman. The club feels the voice of the surfer, petitions and area requests included, would be better directed only if backed by an organized group effort. The Surf Club is a new club. It has held its own and grown largely because its sponsor, Miss Law- lor, has retained infinite patience and, despite the club's growing pains and shortcomings, remained always op- timistic. J.
