l X, X X 4 Q X N1 X S TUDENTS, faculty, administration, office and building workers- it took all of them. Without them there could have been no Baylor, no classes, no way of learning. Many times, it seemed a cold, heartless way when we didn't get the grades we thought we deserved or didn't get a cut. But there were com- pensations. The classes weren't all drudgery or study. The profs were good natured-they were always willing to help, and they were for the students. y Down in the classes there were seniors who lived every moment that last year, holding on to the last wonderful days of college life. Before it had just been another year, but we knew that later on it would mean more than just that. We were bound to Baylor and to the others before and after us. There was never anything as great as being a freshman. It was a new life: it was exciting and it meant new friends .that would last forever, also . lf Y,- ,... -,- bound by the same' spirit, the same traditions. You could spot them nearly every time, as refreshing as the sunrise of a new day. They had a certain air about them that made you recall with longing the first days you spent at Baylor and wish that you could begin again. The sophs and juniors were 'pretty wonderful in helping them find their way around. Then it was time to take a last look: our diploma was in our hand and it said, Wel1 done, you may go now. But we cou1dn't go. for someday we would come back to stand silently and watch them freshmen again Cyes, we could still. spot thernj and see another senior in his cap and gown and know that the lump in his throat was there, and the bursting feeling within. It would all 'come back again. . . four years would all pass in a- moment, The memories would make our heads spin: the tight feeling inside would return: and we would remember with a burning desire our years at Baylorl 'ir C27 a 7,, l
