They were Jimmy Mars, Corky McIntyre, Bill McDowell, Jim McCoy, and Gay McDowell. Bill and Gay won 2nd place in team roping which qualified them for the National High School Rodeo Finals at Helena Montana in August. Gay also qualified in Breakaway Roping. There they placed 6th in the first go-round.
