ADMINISTRATION SUPERINTENDENT I am happy to have this opportunity to write a few words that will be a part of your book which you have worked so many hours to make possible. I hope that you have increased in knowledge during your efforts to make this book a reality and that this accomplishment will make you a better citizen and American. This book will mean a great deal to all of us now; however, it will become more precious as the years come and go. We will thumb through the pages years from now and the pictures will bring back many pleasant memories to both teachers and students. Sitting here at the typewriter trying to think of something to write makes my mind wander. I am thinking of the many advantages that are ours. Possibly one of the greatest advantages is living in a rural community. We are self-sufficient; we lead an ordinary life; we have a consciousness of the same kind; we are in possession of the same common goals; and we are a local group. I am glad that you as a student happened to come this way. Whether you stay here for one year or you remain the full thirteen years, I hope your life will have been made a little better, a little happier, a little more successful for having come this way.
