1965 WOLVERINE THIS YEAR THE ANNUAL STAFF HAS STRIVED TO BRING TO THE STUDENTS OF B.H.S. A REPRESENTATION OF THE LIFE THAT THEY, AS STUDENTS, LIVE. . WE HOPE THAT YOU EN- JOY THIS WOLVERINE, YOUR YEARBOOK. JANET HEINZ, EDITOR Bayfield High School Bayfield, Colorado COOKS Mrs. Wells, Mrs. Hickman, Mrs. Arnspiger, Mrs. Hotz, Mrs. Montgomery PERSONNEL Mr. Phelps Mr, Norman Secretary MR. TURNER Spanish I, II English I, II Mr. Ryan 2 Parting is such sweet sorrow. This depends upon the circum- stances. To you as seniors or other students, you are embark- ing upon a new adventure of Life. You are putting the past behind you as a stepping stone and allowing someone else to make a greater achievement in your stead. Your ambitions are beginning to be realized in some small numbers, but it has been brought about mostly by your hard labor and your ability to carry any project to its completion. It will be hard to realize next year that you will have gone to greater fields because I have watched many of you increase in wisdom and in favor with God and Man. Superintendent ADMINISTRATION To the Senior Class of 1965 I would like to ex- tend my congratulations. Completing high school has many and varied meanings to each of you. To some it is not an end to formal education, but is rather a jumping off place to go on to college and a life's work which is still some time ahead of you. To others it is the starting point for an imm- ediate beginning of your life's To all of you, however, I sincerely hope that it will not mean the end of the opportunity to learn, but rather that it will have been only one phase of learning in your lives, and that now you can pro- ceed in a better, more mature way to learn even more throughout the years ahead, no matter what your work or where you are. To the Class of 1965—in fact, to all of our fine students--may you always strive to be a pos- itive, considerate, forward-looking persons. You will never regret the effort. ■ foAjL oC' Principal Mrs. Mildred Mobbs, Fourth Grade Mrs. Edith Abbott, Fifth Grade Mrs. Evelyn Crowell, Junior High Math Mr. John Snell, Band - Chorus Mrs. Janette Smart, Sixth Grade Mrs. Janice James, Librarian Mr. James High School History Head Football Coach Mr. Knapp 7-8 Social Studies 7 Science Assistant Football Coach Basketball Coach FACULTY Miss Campbell 8 Science High School Sciences Geometry Mr. Law High School Madi Chemistry H .
