CAPTAIN PARTEE CROUCH USN COMMANDER AMPHIBIOUS SQUADRON SEVEN CAPT Partee CROUCH was commissioned in June 1939 fo-llowing graduation from the U.S. Naval Academy. Early in his career he served in the battleship USS ARKANSAS, the cruiser USS VICENNES and the destroyer USS TRUXTON. During Wvorld Wal-11, he commanded the mine- sweepers USS CONQUEST and USS YMS-10, Minesweeper Division ONE, and the Destroyer Escort USS RI-IINEHART. Subsequently, he has commanded USS NIBLACK and USS AULT, Es- cort Squadron EICI-IT and USS ELDORADO. CAPT CROUCH is a graduate of the Army Command and General Staff College, Fort Leaven- worth, Kansas, and the Industrial College of the Aimed Forces, W'ashington, D. C. He has served on the Staff of Commander Amphibious Force, U.S. Atlantic. Fleet, Commander, U.S. Naval Activities, Italy, and in the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations. Prior to assuming command as Commander Amphibious Squadron SEVEN, CAPT CROUCH was Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations on the Staff of Commander Amphibious Training Com- mand, U.S. Pacific Fleet. CAPT CROUCH, born in Roanoke, Virginia, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Partee W. CROUCH of Bluefield, West Virginia. He is married to the former Mary Bell Jones of Aberdeen, Mississippi. They, including a daughter, Marianne, presently reside in Coronado, California. DEC I 963
