As the attendant walked out I recognized his familiar high pitched voice as he said Good morning, may I help you? and I knew that voice had to be none other than my old classmate, DALE HUBER, who is now owner and operator of Potsie's Filler-up. After getting my car refueled I started my journey down main street. Suddenly I heard the screeching of tires and the sound of a siren. As I looked in my rear view mirror I say HARLAND REICHERT who was now the city cop, but still had only one point left on his license. Harland informed me that my tail light was out. He suggested I go to the old Ensser garage which is now owned by WAYNE McMURTRY who is turning mini-bikes into Rolls Royces. As I was leaving the garage I saw a mechanic working near the door. He was fixing his orange Hustler with his head sticking out one end and his feet out the other. I knew this could only be ALAN FENNING who was now 7'2 . While waiting for my car to be fixed, I walked over to the Corner Drive Inn, which was now owned by PAM BERAN, who specializes in making the worlds greatest hamburgers, the way Sophie taught her. I sat down in a booth and ordered Pam's speciality. As I sat in the booth relaxing, I glanced up at the T.V. where I saw the RICK and JUDY HEIMBUCK VARIETY HOUR, which was taking the place of Captain and Ten-nile. The special guest stars were DIANE YOUNG and LUANN TYRRELL who are now the heads of canned laughter and are selling it to all the situation comedy shows. Pam brought my order and the Bayard paper which is called the Bunny World Herald, owned by Deb and ROD BRUN-GARDT. As I glanced through the paper, the headlines said that ELLEN ERICSON was performing with the New York Metropolitan Opera in the high school auditorium this Saturday night. I read on and saw that CECILIA RISCHLING is now married to MARK ZIMMERMAN. CeCe is the director of a large band, which in keeping the Rischling tradition, is made up of her own children. Reading on I noticed and unusual article. After being madly in love with Todd Fessler, RHONDA ANDREAS finally got married. The ceremony was held in a barn where Rhonda and Todd were dressed in matching boots and hats. As they rode into the sunset on their Shetland, there was a just married sign on the east end of the west bound horse. The ceremony was performed by Reverend PETE ADAMS who is now married to RAMONA EIGBRETT where, in keeping the Adams tradition, are proud parents of 15 children. Ramona is working for a detective named Charlie. Pete runs the family potato farm and is President of the Mr. Potato Head Company. The obituaries then caught my eye. I read that JIM CLINKENBEARD tried to jump Chimney Rock with his motorcycle. The jump was almost successful until his tail light got caught on the tip of Chimney Rock. He not only broke his tail light but also his neck. DOUG BAUER'S death was caused by cirrhosis of the liver after setting a new worlds record for drinking a case of beer per hour. May they rest in peace. In the entertainment section of the paper I read that ARLAN SAUER hosts co-ed slumber parties at his House of Many Figures. DON and JACKIE SHADEGG have just joined the Shrine Circus where they do a flying trapeeze act. It is understood that Jackie is In the hospital because Buzz failed to catch her during a double flip. Going to the sports page I saw that KIM LAEGER is now a professional cheerleader for Tampa Bay. Incidentally KOREY BRILL is now playing quarterback for Tampa Bay. He quarterbacked them to a 1-11 record while Beth still continues to travel to all the games! CASEY ENGDAHL is practicing the discus for the 1988 Olympics. So far Casey's best is 155'11 which he threw at B.H.S. In 1988 TERESA TAFOYA will also be competing in the Olympics. She will be competing against Nadia Comenichi. Taffy and Nadia have become very good friends and they now travel to Minatare together. RALPH and CAROL RAZO have moved to Philadelphia. Ralph is now playing for the 76ers, taking over Dr. J's place under the name of Dr. R., the R standing for rotten. RHONDA METER has died her hair red and now is a member of the Red Heads. Her nick name is Dirty Dunker. ELDON THOMAS has married Michelle Laythem and they are now raising quarter horses. Eldon was recently nominated for G.R.A. president. The Goat Ropers Association, and is now competing in the National Rodeo Finals in Oklahoma. FRANK LOPEZ has moved to Lincoln and has taken over this brothers practice of cutting hair. His shop is called Freakie Franks Fried Free style hair cuts. JIM McDANIEL has joined Bennie Shimp in residing in Scottsbluff while they continue to see how many chicks they can get in their car. While supporting POOR Scott Evers, CONNIE LIAKOS is now employed by the Boston Symphony Orchestra where she is making her debut. The paper amazed me as I continued to read about my fellow classmates. Next I read where DEB RICE is now on her sixth Haden and no longer does she look like a zipper when she turns sideways and sticks out her tongue. I lay down my paper and glanced up at the T.V. while finishing my hair burger. I say DAVID GARCIA and the gang, JIM and JAVIER SERDA, RICK HERNANDEZ, MARY LABORICO, and KENNY CASTELLAW who are now taking over the cartoon. Fat Albert and the Gang. A flash news bulletin came on stating that TAMMY HORN is still trying to convince everyone that the nasty rumor about her is not true. I decided to change the channel, as I did I saw STEVE GERDES pulling into the pit-stop in the Indianappolis 500. The pit crew consisted of RON DOUGLASS, BRYON GREEN, and STEVE NUSS, who were loaded, with cresant wrenches, tire irons and jacks. Another news flash came across the screen. RADAR ROBFRTS has been captured by the Communists because they thought the U.S. had a new type of radar ... his ears! After the news flash, I saw that DAVID CROW had taken over Howard Cosell's place. He is the only announcer in the world who does not need a microphone. Next I saw a commercial advertisement for a chain of local flower shops. This particular chain of stores is owned by JEAN SJOLANDER and operated by LORI RANDALL who specializes in pick-ups and deliveries. I then went to see if my car was done and it was. I paid the bill and got in my car and drove away. I turned on the radio just in time to hear the county news. Evidentally SUSIE BOWERS was appealing a parking ticket that was given to her for parking her car in an illegal parking zone in front of B.H.S. Susie's attorney, YOLE CASA RES, almost had the judge, BRAD HENSON convinced that it was perfectly legal for Sue to park her car where she did. After all she was just waiting for Rick Casares. Before I left Bayard I decided to drive by good ole B.H.S. There I came upon KEN VOGEL peddling a tricycle with GEORGE LIAKOS on the handlebars. They are now delivering Bunny's World Herald, under the supervision of PATRICK SINGER. As I was leaving my home town of Bayard I heard on the radio a familiar voice. I knew it could only be CARL BUS-KIRK in a new edition of Crusty's Comments. 15 Memories Mmm- ;■ -GOOD! Look at them duds! SEIMIORS ARE SUPER The natural look. Cheers! Take It easy Taffy... The wealthy and retired Sumner Powdrell (Jody Buskirk) strangely disappeared after having an argument with Tony Marchant (Rueben Chacon), who wants to marry his niece, Glory (Nancy Brungardt). Glory and Carla (Pam Bastron) played a dual role. Glory was to inherit a large sum of money on her twentieth birthday and Carla i wanted the money so she impersonated Glory. Strange things happened like ghosts appeared and lights flashed on and off. Logan (Mark Wickard) and Casey (Maynard Krantz) solve the mystery with help from Ann (Joni Eskam) and realized that Hoyt Lawrence (Lionel Sanchez) was the guilty party. 22 Kevin Kniss Dana Korell Gail Korell Kenny Krantz Paul Krantz Shelly McAdams Carolyn McDaniel Gary McDaniel Robert McMurtry Sally Michal Brenda Nab Connie Pierce Jerry Pierce Vincent Razo Ryan Reiber Rodney Rein Chris Rischling Rocky Robinson Greg Sanchez Stacy Sauer C I a s s 0 f 7 9 Belinda Serda Sheila Seigfried Tammy Sinks Lynlee Smith Shari Strauch 23 Laurie Wickard David Waechter Debbie Wheeler Annette Teppert Officers: Gary McDaniel, president; Delbert Blackstone, vice president; Dana Korell, secretary; Gail Korell, treasurer.
