Judy Wilhelm Honored Queen; Seniors Build Best Float Highlighting the 1961 football season, Judy Wilhelm was crowned Miss Tiger Festival. Sandra Chapman, Shirley Dutton, and JoLee Hrnicek served as princesses during the thrill packed evening. Events of the day included a parade consisting of the pep club, band, and floats. The center of Main Street was the scene of a rousing pep rally. During the halftime of the game, the queen was presented a tiara, and the seniors were awarded the prize for the winning float. After the Tigers trounced their opponents, a semiformal dance sponsored by the Student Council was held in the legion hall. Queen and attendants ride the royal float. Little Black Sambo say, “Melt ’em to butter.” 25 Bayard enthusiasts support their team.
