Shirley and John acquire throne. Wonderland by Night Enjoyed “Wonderland by Night” was chosen as the theme of the 1961-62 Band Ball. The old gym was decorated to portray a wintry evening overcast by a blue mist. Before refreshments were served Shirley Dutton and John Dueker were crowned as king and queen and were presented with gifts. They reigned over the festivities for the remainder of the evening.
