For all your guidance, your work, your troubles, and your efforts, we thank you! The Class of '60 MR. CHRISTIAN First, I should like to congratulate the class upon the many fine achievements of the past four years and also upon this fine annual or yearbook. This is an excellent record and will serve to create for time immemorial a picture of the Bayard High. As a final parting word, permit me to admonish each class member upon the following: Continue your education — although it need not be formal Continue to recognize and hold a high place in your daily lives for the moral and spiritual values Continue to serve for community or society betterment — be a good citizen Be mindful and appreciate your rich heritage — including your opportunity for a high school education. And finally, hard work has its reward. May I conclude my remarks with the following poem by R. L. Sharpe — as a challenae to each class member. JUDY BETZ — Presently doing a high-class floor show at a psychiatric night club, using Rorschach ink blots instead of bubbles. KAY BURDEN — She quickly realized the money-making possibilities of hospitals, and now owns a controlling interest in West Nebraska General and further increased her fortune with hit recording HOSPITAL BLUES. CHARLES DUEKER — Lives in a shack beside Highway 30 subsisting on litter thrown by California tourists, and deriving his simple pleasures by reversing the order of Burma Shave signs. ROBERT DUNCAN — Gained fame as an engineer for Ford Motor Company by developing an automobile advancement known as the longhaired clutch. JOHN ELLIOTT — After a long and illustrious naval career, he has settled down to the relatively quiet job as a small-town bomb investigator. JOHN ENRIQUEZ — Dance instructor who made fame with his two TV spectaculars, An Evening with John Enriquez and Another Evening with John Enriquez. JERRY FAULKNER — Makes his living as a replacement for big Otis on the Huckleberry Hound Show. LARRY FISCUS — Rents his teeth to tooth-paste companies for ads.
