Before turning through these pages let us tell you why we have chosen to symbolize our school life in terms of aviation. We feel that the airplane is a vital part of our present eivilizaton. It is a machine, which, unless properly constructed, cannot reach the height for which it was designed. We are similar to this structure, for from the beginning of early education, our characters must be carefully and correctly constructed in order to reach the ultimate goal. Life, like flying, has to have a clear field. If confronted with a problem, we, like the plane, must either fly over it or “crack-up.” This book is for you. the students of Bayard High School—may it help you remember this year of your climh in education
