Student Government STUDENT BOARD SEMESTER ONE Norbert Mutschler, Thomas Penclergost, Gilbert Holtz, Thomas Troyer, Karen Fritsche, Sandra Sedenquist, Barbara Brickhouse. The establishment of honor study halls touched off action in Bay View's Student Government Association this year. Also, a new system of building control was established. The combining of corridor and host and hostess committees proved to be a very successful venture. Fun was had by all when the pep committee pre- sented the 1956 pep rallies. High, too, were the results of their efforts, for attendance at all the games rocketed sky high. Christmas brought with it a developing tradition as once again Bay View sent gifts to the Waukesha Home of Boys. The public relations committee, along with the 9B instruction committee, educated incoming freshmen and sophomores. Panels on S.G.A., individual home- room instruction, and, of late, a new freshman hand- book, constituted a sharp orientation program. A spirited and rollicking homecoming dance, enjoyed by over one thousand Viewites and ex-Viewites, gave the new year a grand and glorious start. ln turn, happily culminating the year, the spring semi-formal dance ushered out the final days with color, gaiety, and grandeur. The crowning of Bay View's first formal king and queen added the final touch to a full year. All in all, the student body enioyed a prosperous year, following and improving on standard activities, and laying the groundwork for even more activity in years to come.
