Mr. Whilfomb, Chief Counselor Page Twenty-right 1 Dr. Fox, Vice-Principal Guidance in 'War Time The measure of the success of any advise- ment program is how near it comes to helping students to adjust to life itself. At Bay View, counselors and homeroom teachers are trying to lit the scholastic program to each individ- ual student, attempting to develop in him the great qualities of loyalty, self-reliance, leadership-qualities which assume an even greater importance in the black light of war. The increased tempo of all living, the drafting of boys in their teens, the sobering realization by all high school students of at least a part of what the future may hold for them have greatly increased the responsibili- ties of the guidance department.
