Happily we recall The enioyable class periods in which pic+ures, souvenirs, Mrs. Kirchgeorg's own personal commenl' on her rravels made lessons very impressive. Frequenrly class hours became life-advisemenr conferences enriched by fhe wisdom of an experl' counselor. Bul' ihe influence of Mrs. Kirchgeorg weni' beyond her classroom. H' fouched every proiecl' +ha1' concerned life in +he Bay View High school. Her special in+eres+ lay in +he Foreign Language club +o which she was devoied noi' only in her supervision of 'I'he club bu+ also in fhe prepara- Hon of programs and in fhe developmeni of 'l'he linguisfic skill of many s'l'uden'l's. Noi a commencemenl' program was planned or presenled wi+hou+ her advice. She never wai+ed 'ro be draf+ed info service, she volunfeered. The s+uden+s of Bay View feel 'lhal' il' was a rare privilege +o be among +he many fhousand young folk whose minds were fired by Mrs. Kirchgeorg's zes+ for knowledge, whose hear+s were warmed by her kindness and sympafhy, whose lives were made rich by her sfurdy qualiiies of characfer.
