All of the l936 graduates are listed there. together with the pages on which their pictures are to he found. Early in lleceniher the lfditor-in-Chief. llonald Schniechel, and the Organization lfditor, Dorothy llurnett, attended the National Scholastic Press Association convention which was held in Mil- waukee at the Hotel Schroeder. Many valuahle ideas were oh- tained from the displays. speeches and round-tahle discussions. ,Xfter the pages had heen definitely assigned. and the engravers had furnished sketch layouts for each section, the seemingly endless job of picture-taking began. lietween llecemher and June the photographer came to llay View more than a dozen tilnes, sonietinies taking' as niany as fifty pictures in a single day. More than three hundred and ninety pictures were taken. Xfter the first few experiences, the editors finally realized what a joh it was to take pictures of students. First, the group desired had to he selected after conferring with the faculty advisors of the various activities. Then each student had to he notified personally and places had to be selected as background for the pictures. Different ways and ineans for making the students look 'fnaturalu and informal had to he devised 3 especially for the seniors. Perhaps the most difficult assignment was taking over 2000 students in groups of fifty for the class sectioi . lf ' ' - ' ' ' 1 oi tw o days 111 March, a seemingly l'infi'li1'y1I1fm'11
