among the most pleasant memories of our journey through high school are the everyday incidents that are part of our school life . . . most of these moments are forgotten, hut many form a lasting picture in our minds . . . laughter and disappointment, smiles and tears make up the usual school day . . . the clearing of the halls just before the bell rings . . . scurrying out of class for a hurried chat with friends . . . reading desks in study hall . . . cramming outside the door for a test . . . listening with mixed emotions to election results . . . borrowing an emergency” dime for an apple . . . counting down the seconds of last period to rush and meet that special” friend at our locker . . . insignificant at the time, these moments are vital experiences which bring us in personal contact with our fellow students . . . we should take advantage of our school life to gain greater understanding of ourselves and to realize the impor- tance of everyday incidents along the road of life.
