During our existence, we have received various honors. Caswell, best sport and champion pie-eater, has been given a high place i11 the school and in the town. Mary, class tlapper and clebater, has been voted the most popular. lzleulah, class beauty and poet, has been proclaimed the leading vamp. Moog Benson, star basketball player a11d class actor, has won rare distinction. XYillie, the most business-like and the most courteous, has attracted wide attention. wlanies, the most scholarly and the 1l'lOSt dignihed, has won an enviable position in the minds of students and faculty. Martha -lo, the most painstaking and the happiest, has beamed her way into many hearts. Sadie, the most genial and the most un- seltish, has wo11 the friendship of everybody. lack, best biscuit-maker and ye humbly grateful scribe, has been awarded sp-ecial prize in the county. He has also been voted the most athletic. A host of fragrant memories come sweeping in as we recall our good times, though these are not always distinct from our hard tim-es. Une of the most interesting things we will remeinber, when high school days are over and we have entered the broader helds of life, will b-e our held trips in biology. We were greatly a111used at times to hnd that our teacher--Miss Dunnegan-was enthusiastically telling us about a sweet-gum tr-ee, when we observed it to be an oaltg or a grass-hopper, XX'l'lC1'l we recognized it as a wingless buttertiy. ln attainments our record is varied a11d numerous, if not brilliant. ln the past four years we, as a whole, have more or less successfully withstood approxi- mately 31.500 recitations. l11 the aggregate amount, these lessons include not less than 500 agricultural and biological held trips: 700 scientihc sketches a11d write-upsg 50 or 75 political and current events talksg 100 literary society pro- grams: 1.350 geometry propositions proveflg I,2Qf3,0o0 words written: 12,500.- o00,000 words read, oogooo smiles and frowns.
