The Lomlallher Class Poem Another task is safely past. The toilers, tir-efl and worn, Sigh deeply--rest has come at last. From burdens we have borne XYe cast aside our weary load, And seek the shady grass Where toils and terrors of the road May to oblivions pass. 'Tis eveningg the departing hour has come But still 'tis not all darkg Y The stars are shining, and the moon Chases the shades in the park. The sun has set-that is true-- But it will ris-e again And bring a day bright and new XYith more goals to attali. And see! what mighty works are done! Ourselves we see progress Thru the teachers' aid, upon Which time has placed success. How futile life unplanned mayb-e, 'We strive for higher things! The end is nigh. E'en now we see lleginnings future brings.
