JB CLASS HISTORY I never knew a Poet Laureate Who was able to historiate. Or a chronicler of times Who could speak in lofty rhymes Please tolerate this poets' history E'en though its value remains a mystery. OUR ARRIVAL, SEPTEMBER 7, 1949 We came to Bassick in Forty nine To us it was a mighty shrine But Our schedules perplexed us They harassed and hexed us After the very first bout Trying to figure them out We found ourselves at las At the wrong time in the wrong class Highly confusing though often amusing Were directions which hit us unawares For climbing and descending the proper stairs Having struggled in errors FIRST CLASS MEETING, JUNE 8, 1950 We finally gathered side by side With Miss Fytelson as our guide. She had fine plans and held no fears, She thought she could last for the next two years. Gem of Wisdom: Teachers rush in where the reckless dare not tread.
