SENIOR DELEGATES Firrt Rout Lois Gronberg, Wilbur Rowe, Barbara Laufer, Alfred Lizak, Lorraine Oppel. Ralph Broman, Nancy Logan, Arnold Gustavson, Carol Ford, Richard Shepard, Arden Wilkins. Second Rout Miss Ruth Kresge, Arthur Metsopoulos, Yvette Lipschitz, Ernest Santo, Anne Pasqua, John Riley, Mary Snook, Guy Bonvicini, Hazel Stenquist, Donald Borgman, jean johnson, Robert Kraycar, Elaine Whiteman, William Weaver, Clare Moran, Alexander Miski. PITG MEN just as circus goers hear the cries of the pitchmen urging them to buy peanuts, popcorn, and balloons, so Bassick students listen to the Senior Delegates, persuading them to spend their nickels and dimes for activities sponsored by the Senior Class. These enthusiastic promoters of senior activities have as their wares events like the class trip to West Point, the Senior Play, and the all-important Prom. W'orking with the class officers and Miss Kresge, senior class adviser, they make it their business to sell to the home rooms the idea of attending the splendid func- tions that they plan. The delegates are rewarded for their efforts only by the disheartening question, Are you collecting money again? and by the hne attendance at the ac- tivities on which they have so diligently worked. Pitchmen do their utmost to make sure that people leave a circus with filled hands and empty pockets: and the Senior Delegates. also famous as money collectors, arrange matters so that the seniors leave their alma mater with flattened purses and minds stored with happy memories.
