Leon Ward and Mike Sheppard pro- vided able assistant coach duties for the Varsity team. Chuck Ramshaw and Ed Macias brought the sopho- more squad along with promise. The Frosh team got off to a slow start this year, but that didn ' t stop them from breaking a 16 game losing streak with a victory over Gladstone. Team co-captains Ruben Mangia- terra and Vince Gutierrez led a strong offensive and defensive team with help from quarterback Scott Holbrook, fullback Greg Hawkins, linebacker Ronald Martin, and tackle Ed Prado. Coach Fears feels that the freshmen will make a strong Soph team next year. SUCCESS is the watchword for the coming year. f,1wT p X. ? i - ° ' ,° - - Navere te G. Ortega, K. Mi. F. Barajas, R.
