Strong muscles and nerves were the requirements for participation on Bassett ' s donkey basketball team. Even so, many student and faculty players finished the February 16th game with shattered nerves and aching muscles. Leading the list of aches and pains were Mr. John Bush, playing for the faculty team and who decided to fall from his donkey in a different way — on his head. Call- ing for the student team was junior Mike McCall, whose donkey decided he liked Mike better on the floor than on his back. While the gym floor was taking all this pounding, however, a few players managed to stay on their donkeys long enough to score. High scorer for the faculty team was Bill Leavitt, whose 10 points were the major force in pushing the teachers to victory. Carolyn Watt was also at the top of the scoring roster with 8 points to her credit, while Rachael Rey scored 4 points. Other scorers were Tokijo iOchi, Rudy Ramirez and Paul Gudbrandsen, each racking up one basket. Mike McCall stayed on his beast long enough to score 6 points for the student team. Following him, John Collins, Tina Sandavol and Vincent Rubio all pushed in 4 points each. Chris Zepeda, Tim McMurtrey, Dale Aguilar and Memo Galvan also had a hand in scoring with 2 points each. The final score was 28-26. with revenge already in the planning stages for the next Don- key Basketball game. o CD CTJ cr 5 o CD
