Dressed in colorful tuxedos and glamorous long gowns, anxious couples arrived at the Inn at the Park in Anaheim for the long awaited Christmas Ball. The theme TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT along with the joy of the holiday season brought fine memories to all, students, teachers, and alumni, who danced to the excellent music of POTEN- TIAL. Dancers packed the floor as each tune, disco or rock, played. It seemed every dancer had Christmas Ball Fever on a Thursday night. At twelve o ' clock Student League President S. Taylor and Vice President R. Lamp- kins cleared the floor to introduce the royal court. The hall was still and full of heightened excitement as the prin- cesses and princes were announced. Connie Velasquez, Janice Kuwara, Karen Holling and Becky Velasquez all received princess crowns. Edward Rodriguez, Richard Delgado, Vinnie Iberra, and Richard Myers were crowned princes. King Ed Claproth and Queen Elizabeth Luna from 1977 were on hand to crown Eugene RevierVernines King and Judy Ibarra Queen of 1978. The Student League and Sponsor Carol Triestman deserve kudos for a most enjoy- able evening. Activities 63

Come see THAT ' S ENTERTAINMENT IN FIVE ACTS. Read the advertisement for the first produc- tion presented by the Thespian Club. Despite some awkwardness and unforseen circumstances the five acts became two. Director Mark Wilson proclaimed the show must go on so with the two fine acts that were left the show did go on for three matinees and one evening performance. In THE PSYCHIATRIST IN SPITE OF HIMSELF, Millie (Brenda Garcia) seeks revenge on her husband Bud (Vince Nerey). She tells Frank and Evelyn (David Leroy and Alicia Munoz) that she knows of an excellent psychiatrist for their daughter Chris (Jamie Rivas) who wants to marry Rak (Danny Carrasco). Complications abound when the psychiatrist happens to be Millie ' s husband, Bud, the mechanic. In A MORE PERFECT UNION a group of girls por- tray snobs who refuse to accept a girl from across the tracks into their glee club. B. Garcia, J. Rivas, E. Rivas, K. Ullberg, J. Rivas, D. Hippie, R. Wilkinson and A. Munoz gave outstanding performances. Hats off to the technical crew. This drama season debut was a delightful tribute to Mark Wilson ' s talent and effort.
