B OJ I ALFONSO ALCALA Alfonso Alcala proved his outstanamg leadership first as section leader for the Marching Olympians and during his junior and senior years as drum major. As drum major Alfonso took awards for both L.A. Regional and State Cham- pion. At Bassett he was a member of the Honor Society, Pep Rally Committee, and served as Senior Justice in A.S.B. Nominated to Who ' s Who Among American High School Students, Alfonso plans to attend Cal Poly- Pomona and major in Computer Sci- ence. EILEEN KAMIDOI Eileen Kamidoi will be remembered as one of Bassett ' s outstanding scholar- athletes. Nominated to Who ' s Who Among American High School Stu- dents, she also took 3rd place in the Bank of America Awards and numer- ous scholarships. At Bassett she served as an officer in the Honor Society, Track Club, BAIA, ASB, and Class Government. Eileen was an active par- ticipant in V. Volleyball, V. Basketball, Badminton and }.V. Girls Cross Coun- try. She was awarded Most Valuable Player in Badminton, sophomore year; 1st Team All League Volleyball, junior and senior year. In her junior year Eileen was voted Christmas Ball Prin- cess; her senior year. All Sports Prin- cess. Eileen was co-editor of the Forum her senior year. She plans to attend La Verne University.

KANDY MINK y Mink completed her senior year at Bassett as one of the more active stu- dents serving as co-editor of the Forum. She was a member of Honor Society for four years and Junior State for two. In her sophomore year she performed in the musical The Boy Friend. Kandy kept stats for track. Beginning as a member of drill team, Kandy moved up to squad leader and finally captain. As a performer in drill team competition she was indeed outstanding, winning many awards. Kandy is active in Church, serving as club president. She plans to major in Communication at UCLA. RESENDEZ Gilbert Resendez was nominated to Bassett ' s Senior Hall of Fame for many reasons including GPA and participa- tion in sports. Playing baseball all four years, he received his letters in his jun- ior and senior years. Gilbert served on the School Site Improvement Council during his senior year. College bound, Gilbert plans a career in Forestry.
