SENIOR CLASS HISTORY Looklng back 1nto the past four years the h1ghl1ghts of our h1gh school l1fe are reflected 1n the followmg events Lookmg 1nto the m1rror of the past 1n our frosh year we see the Freshman Frolxc a gala dance 1n the Bas1c tra d1t1on As Sophomores 1n 1948 we trudged up the path of edu catlon but found tune along the way for many successful soc1al events outstandrng among wh1ch was the Sophomore Reverse one of the most successful dances of the year At last we were upperclassmen ' We started the year off wlth the J un1or Play ALMOST SUMMER a humorous three act productlon judged by all a great success Next came the J un1or Carnxval wlth concesslons gala floor show crownmg of a k1ng and queen and colorful crepe paper dec orat1ons Then the J umor Prom topped off the year 1n spectacular form w1th a beaut1ful Job of decoratmg done on the gym The mood for the evenmg was set to the tune of Dancxng ln the Dark In 1950 we entered 1nto our Senror year w1th happy ant1c1pat1on M1ss Handschm and Mr McDon1el were chosen class sponsors for our Class of 50 Our Sen1or Queen Gall Chase rexgned over Homecomng game and dance and the Senlor Ball and Play were our last and equally successful act1v1t1es of the year Then Graduatxon and Commencement Day came and after a happy year as Semors, we nostalglcally bade farewell to Bas1c Hzgh Page 21 l 1 1 , - , - 7 7 , .
