JEFF JACKSON IS CHOSEN MR. BHS FOR ’74. The outstanding male senior was recognized as Mr. BHS. An ideal Mr. BHS possesses good scholarship, leadership, personality, appearance, and involvement in school and com- munity. Jeff Jackson was chosen as Mr. BHS for 1974.

HOMECOMING Michael Sams: Betty Thomas DEANNA ALLEN CROWNED ’73-74 HOMECOMING QUEEN BHS was at its best during Spirit week. Spirited students wore far-out costumes and Cheerleaders encour- aged BHS students to keep quiet on “Silence Day” by marking the faces of those who talked. Offenders were dealt with at the Pep rally. On Wednesday night, the snake dance wound from the Civic Center to the football stadium, and students hon- ored John Pickett with the coveted title of Ugliest Man on Campus. Li- onettes and Anchor and Key Club performed skits and topped it off with a roaring bonfire to boost the Jackets to victory. The climax of Spirit Week was the Friday night Homecoming game. Deanna Allen was crowned Home- coming Queen by last year’s queen, Pam Edwards. In typical style, the Jackets won the game against Fort Meade 12-0, and a homecoming dance completed the evening.
