Usually concentrating solely on the art of acting, the Drama Department's curricula expanded to include the creation of sets and scenery, the application of make-up, and the stage production. Debating in 72-73 consisted of the united effort of the novice debating team and the varsity debating team. The novice team was introduced to the field of debating and par- ticipating in active switch-side debates within the classroom. The varsity team is composed of senior debaters partici- pating actively in local and district meets. In '72, the French Club started the year off with a colorful initiation. The second annual Variety Show was produced and profits extended to the Social Services, Dept., involving the foster children of Caswell County. There were also fund- raising drives for charitable organizations. The culture com- mittee presented programs concerning the French country and people at the monthly meetings, thereby enriching our awareness of the French Culture. These girls work together in the local chapter to improve our school and community with thousands of other girls. Their services are appreciated by other organizations and school officiating groups for which they act as hostesses during club socials. PEP CLUB The Pep Club is a social or- ganization which consists of about 50 students. These students accompany the cheerleaders and ball- players on games played away from home.
