The decorati ns w rc centered, around the theme, The mem oOCI iLh UF CL-noo OF 47 A Halloween Party was given for the class on October % 1944 in Betsy Foster ' s barn, which was decorated in typical Halloween style a wonderful time was had by all On May 4, 1945 the Juniors entertained the Seniors with a Junior-Senior Banquet in the auditorium of our school. The decorations were in blue and white in keeping with the May Day Theme, a May Pole centered the room with blue and white streamers. A dance followed the banquet at the Club House where everyone had a most enjoyable time. On Friday night npril 16, 1946 the girls of the eleventh grade gave a weiner roast and dance at the Club House in honor of the boys of their class. Everyone enjoyed the weiner roast which was on the grounds., as the sun Sank behind the hills and the weiners disappeared the guests went inside the Club House in answer to the strains of music coming through the windows. Flowers and streamers of school colors, purple and gold, decorated the Club House. The Seniors spensoree an informal dance at the Club House, December 28, 1946 which was one of the highlights of the holiday season. Everyone seemed to enjoy it as much or more than any social given by the group in many months. The Club House was decorated with red and white stro, mers and evergreen accented by candlelight and fires in huge fireplaces, a . prize was given to the cutest couple. The Junior Class of Bartlett Yancey High School enter¬ tained. the Senior Class at a banquet given on Friday night, April 11, at Damn lie Country Club, a dance to which addi¬ tional guests wore xrvxted fallov r ed the banquet. The class had a formal dance on July 5, 1946 at the Club House at which quite a number Ware present. The color scheme was carried out in red and white.
