SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS FOR A NUCLEAR AGE That's what I like about math courses--no homework! Math classes-at B.H.S. covered courses in algebra, ge- ometry, and trigonometry, and were supplemented by the special math courses offered by the University of Illinois, guaranteed to keep students on their toes. The Slide Rule Club is an extra-curricular activity in the Field of math where interested math students learn how to perform operations on the slide rule and study some of the things going on in contemporary mathematics. ,, -- --,-- My , ,, ,

Greek and Italian Clubs are more academic, since they involve the study of languages which are not offered for regular credit. French and Spanish Clubs are primarily concerned with learning more about the culture of France and Spain . . . and the cuisine of France seems to play an important part in some of their soirees . . . hmm? Ger- man Club really got into the Spirit of Christmas this year by sending food and clothing to Deutschland . . . and they met after school hours, even!
