A group of Council members planned the informal weekly assembly programs and presided over the major school gatherings staged throughout the year. Pep rallies, inter-class contests, and the arranging for busses to carry fans to some of the away games served to stimulate interest in athletic events. One of the major under- takings was the staging of a Minstrel Show on December 11, in conjunction with the Barrington High School Association. The proceeds of the affair went to the various school organiza- tions for use in the purchase of additional equipment. Council members also worked with the B.H.S. Alumni Association in numerous projects aimed at creating among the townspeople a greater interest in all phases of school life. i 5 1 Back row: H. Mautner, D. Di Orio. F. Blackinton. Second row: J.
