Miss Barton was chosen as adviser of the Class of 1956 when Mr. Pinsky left the faculty ranks y gg in January. The class was well represented in all phases of R school activities. Several boys won places on the Varsity Basketball Teamg others starred on the Track Team. The girls engaged in numerous sports activities and social functions sponsored by the B.G.A.A. School publications received the group's solid support. To a sophomore girl went the honor of playing the leading role in the annual school play. To the Freshmen went the honor of being the largest of the four classes at Barrington High this year. Under the guidance of Mr. McGregor, all members entered wholeheartedly into the numerous extracurricular activ- ities, and many individuals gained distinction in their endeavors. The boys showed a keen interest in track, basketball, football, and baseball, while the girls en- tered into all phases of the B.G.A.A. sports program with great zest. The cheerleading squad spurred the various teams on to victory in their many athletic tilts. MR.
