2 CLASS PRUPHECY The three weird fates lurked in the shadows of the bubbling caldron. into which had been poured a bit of wisdom, humor, knowledge, and wit. The liquid seethed and boiled within. From the black depths there arose a faint vision. lt became clearer until a disjointed face could he seen. Then the dim outline of a body was glimpsed. and behind the first apparation other shapes were forming. It was a procession from the future-coming to breathe fantastic facts to our shocked minds. As the first figure became less vague, we recognized it as the President of the Senior Class of '39. llehind thc first figure, a large group could be seen. But how changed they all were! A curtain had been lifted ten years in the future and this is what we saw: Stuart Mahurin, Governor of Kentucky. Claude Cohron, Football Coach at Yale. Margaret Ashby, private secretary of James V. Sellars, who owns a chain of filling stations -across the continent. Nadine lgleheart, graduate nurse. Mary E. Hollowell, public accountant for Hen- derson. Evansville and Owensboro. Ralph Freels, Bettye Hazelwood, Roy Freels, suc- cessful on the screen as a comedy trio. Jeanne Montgomery, language teacher at Vassar. Edward E. Culver, foreign diplomat to Russia.
