small purale shup could be seen on lhal sea lighlung uls way Io lhe shores of lhe usland The small shup called l953 slrug gled valuanlly and soon ul was carrued by a guganluc wave on lo lhe shores of Hugh School The puralucal occupanls of lhe shup realuzed lhal lhus usland would be home lo lhem for lhe nexl four years and lhey knew also lhal lhese years would be spenl un slrenglhenung llrueur shup whuch had carrued Ihem lhus lar over lhe seas of lume As lhus crew ol Freshmen Purales wonderungly emerged from lheur small shup lhey were ummedualely allacked by groups ol' slronger Purales who had landed on lhe usland years earluer These Junuor and Senuor Purales fell onlo lheur younger males wulh cullasses and paunl unlenl upon unulualung lhem unlo lhe socuely I Hugh School Thus havung been successfully complushed lhe crew of bald boys and red laced gurls proceeded wulh a munumum ol dulflcully lo lhe sec luon ol lhe usland assugned lo lhem by lhe rulers of Hugh School As days passed n secluons I6 and I7 and lhe law makung body ol Hugh School lhey proceeded lc choose leaders from among lhemselves As Purale Cap lam lhey chose Kappue as Fursl Male Don as Re corder Belly and as Treasure lender Helen Sprague They chose as advusors lwo of lheur rulers Muss Sloul and Mr Walsh Represenlung I953 on Purale Councul were George and Trudy Al once lhe crew plunged unlo lhe many acluvulues Hugh School The Purales malched lh ur skull agaunsl neughborung uslands un meels ol Baskelball and Baseball The usland was vucloruous more lhan oflen and was greally auded by some of 'he
