C I , . , . , , Class Prophecy As I was s1tt1ng ln my offlce one day I declded to take a vacatron I was gomg to fly around the U S My f1rst stop was at St Louls where Iwent out to Scott Alr Force Base to look around There I ran lnto one of my old school mates Susle We started talk1ng over old tlmes and Susle sald that after completlng nurses tralmng at St Mary s she Jorned the Alr Force She became a fhght nurse on a hospltal plane She had many exc1t1ng flrghts but she sa1d after she gets out she plans to marry the pllot of the plane she lS on She sa1d that she was plannrng on havlng a small fam11y of about twelve lfrds Well I decrded that lt was t1me to move on so I boarded my pr1vate plane and started down the runway From St Louls I went to New York There I went to the Amerlca Theolog1cal Semlnary of Laboratory Sclence to look around I was standlng there when I saw man that looked fam1l1ar He lntroduced hlmself as Prof Thomas E Lawson He told me he was worklng on a tr1p to the moon He sald he was planmng to brlng back a prece of the moon w1th h1m so all the lovers could have moonllght whenever they wanted rt He wanted lt especlally for Iohn Hopklns who S1tS on john Hopklns Unlverslty campus wlth the glrls He told me that ln h1s spare tlme he worked on the atom bomb, gulded mlsslles and a rocked d1v1ng su1t to hunt for treasure along the bottom of the ocean I declded to move on but before I left he sald that John was 1n h1s unlverslty th1s afternoon g1v1ng a talk to the young boys and gurls about How to behave after the1r graduatlng nlght so I declded to drop by and say hello before I contlnued on my way When I arrlved there I found John s1tt1ng ln h1s offlce He was surprlsed to see me H told me that he had gotten marrred to a movle actress and had two darlmg chfldren It was gettlng late so I told John I had better be leavrng but he 1ns1sted that I stay for supper and meet h1s famlly After supper I excused myself and left I went to my hotel to pack my bags and standlng behrnd the counter was the manager Francls Burns I lntroduced myself and he sald he drdn t recognlze me We talked over some of the th1ngs we used to do In hlgh school Then I told h1m I had better be gomg so I left there for Kansas Clty That afternoon I declded to go to the ballgame To my surprlse I found out that Red Bellmyer was pltchlng He pltched a no hltter After the ballgame we talked about th1ngs I had seen on my tr1p He told me that durlng hrs spare t1me he made records Hls last record was Yea Republlcan I told h1m I had better go so he drove me to the alrport My next stop was at Denver Colorado where I went to Dye Recrultlng Base General Albert E Dye 1n command Iwent to h1s offlce and he lnvlted me 1n when he found out who I was He asked me what I was dolng out there I told h1m that I was Just taklng a long vacatron We talked for a long t1me about th1ngs he had done 1n h1s past Then he tgld me he had to take 1500 men on blvouac So I left h1m to do h1s work My next stop was Alaska I was looklng for somethlng to do and a man told me that the openrng nlght of Room for One More was that nlght starlng Arlene Queen After the play went back stage and talked to her for about one hour Then I told her I had better go be cause I was leavlng early the next morn1ng I left for Utah about 5 OL, the next mornlng After unpacklng my bags I declded to go to the races Standlng In llne wartlng for my tlcket I read tne slgn Hot Car Race Track Rlchard L Myers owner After the flnal race I went to the prt where he was worklng on hls Myers Spec1 l He told me to walt for n1m After he came back he was dressed ln a tux He told me he also was the owner of the Ice Box Excourt Agency I told h1m I had to leave early that mght so he escorted me to my prlvate plane As I waved goodbye I thought to myself that the graduatlng class of 1956 had been successful . . . - . , . - 1 . . r .
