Teacher of the year Ms. Stewart, Learning Disability teacher, was selected by the members of the Future Teachers of America as the 1981 Teacher ofthe Year. Ms. Stewart holds a BA. Degree in Science and Spanish and an MA. in Secondary Education and Learning Disorders. She has taught three years in the public school systems. Professionally, she is a member of the CTA, CCEA, WVEA, NBA, and ACLD. Ms. Stewart enjoys fishing . . . her favorite color is blue. . . and she has a ityenii for lobsters. When interviewed in February, Ms. Stewart said, til hope to see in the near future more rooms for this high school, activities to include ALL the student body, more special classes and teachers and more counselors for individualized assistance. Counselors are too busy and over-worked to do the special counseling needed by special students . . 7 The staff congratulates Ms. Stewart.
