Banquet was held in the high school cafeteria on March 31, 1958. The theme of the banquet was Hawaii. Linda Behling was toast- mistress. Six new members were brought into the club. They were: Velma Heard, Elizabeth Klopplng, Winnifred Downer, Glynette Anderson, Betty Swan, and Ladena Jessup. CHEERLEADER 9 ll l The cheerleaders were selected by the student body for football and basketball season. They were Cherie Benson and Mona Van Pelt, Seniorsg Judy Rathman, Juniorsg Janice Cross, Sophomore. For the basketball season the cheerleaders chose Susan Van Pelt for their mascot, The football outfits were blue corduroy slacks with white kick pleats, white turtle neck sweaters with blue and white emblems and white tennis shoes, The basketball outfits were white corduroy skirts and weskits with white blouses, blue and white emblems, blue can-cans, blue socks and white buck shoes, The cheerleaders stood behind the boys whether they won or lost and encouraged school spirit among spectators at the games, Cherie Benson, Mona Van Pelt, Judy Rathman, and Janice CPOSS.
