Cf Banner County's grade' schools gathered st the hlgh school gym for the annual kstvon's Day program on Ween nesday, Hsy2. The program was well attended by EDC parents in the county, The Horseshoe Eend school, taught by Mrs, Lyllnn Steldley, won the srt competition for the second straight year. Second place went to Heath school, Srd. to Harrisburg Grade school and sth. to the George Brown school. District seven won first orlze ln the track and field events with l29 points, while District 50 was run- nerup with 855 points. There were 19 grade schools participating in the field events. . Horseshoe Bend's presentation of 'Hooking Bird H1ll,n with Larry Cleveland singing the solo part, was the big hit of the morning specialty program of songs, tap dances and skits. Pupils of the Stauffer school, presented a May pole dance and youngsters of several schools combined in rhythm hand numbers. All of the Banner County grade school pupils, some 210 strong, sang several choral numbers under the dir- ection of Miss Alice Foster of the Joe Brown school. Mrs. Arden Cross, teacher 11 the Cracker Box school, played the accompaniment.
