There were sixteen new freshman who entered high school this year. There were eight boys and eight girls. There was quite a difference from the fresbran of last year. These new students were shy and scsred if you even looked st them. Initiation was a thrill for themg well anyhow, they were really students at BCKS now. 4 At the end of the first serester, Lorraine Curtis, moved to Denver, and rritz Curtis quit scLool. Then, Carol Callahan roved here from Caring in the second sem- ester, but Terry Cross and Jlmmg Deeds quit school, so this new leaves the freshman c ass with thirteen mem- bers. The freshran class gave s return party for the sophomore class the second serester of this year. FRESHMAN ' INITIATION On September 19, 1950, the still very green fresh- men were initiated into P,C,H.S. You could see everything from comic strip cowboys to dog-patch chsrscters. They were supposed to imitate famous com1c,strip characters such as Red Ryder, Little Beaver, Dick Tracy and Daisy Meet Fritz Curtis won first prize for the beet Limltaim lon of Little Beavern At the 5 0'c1ocK study hall you could hear peels of laughter as Dorothy Peterson dress- ed as Daisy Mae proposed to Mr. Cronk. Jim Deeds told Mr, Anderson just what kind of a Superintendent he tho- ught he was, Many other things were done, such ss n fnnhman boy proposing to Miss Moss'snd others whistling with their mouth full of crackers. That evening a party was held at W1ldcst'Hi11s and then went on to Scottsbluff for s skating party, Thus the day ended ior these poor Kids, They felt as if dry had earned the right to become members of B.C.H.S.
