Jummore CLASS PLAY On Wednesday, November 22, 1950, a three act myst- ery-comedy play 'The Elusive Bachelor' was presented, by the junior class and one sophomore. The story took place in an old hotel owned by Mrs Martin, who was taking care of her three nelcee, Helen, Jane, and Madge, because her Uncle John had died. Two play rights came to the place called Elm Arbor to rest, a Mr. Arnold and a Mr. Van Gryp. Minerva Smith, Mrs. MDrtln'e sister, came to straighten out an estate pro- blem. The odds Job boy, Hank Harmon, and Mre. Hart1n's nelce, Madge were the detectives to catch Mr. Arnold and Mr. Van Gryo, whom the tho thought were murderers. Mr. Arnold and Mr. Van Gryp fell ln love with two of the young ladies and decided to help put Elm Arbor back on its feet. They got Ann Devole, a movie actress, and B111 Worth, a newspaper columnist, to come to the place to give it a publicity.
