QCHOOL HISTORY The Banner County High School building was finish- EG in the year 1917 and the flret school term in the new school honee was for the term of 1917-18, The site for tne cempue was donated by Mr, C. Mn Shafto. The eohool had formerly been in a rented section of the Harrisburg grade schoolq There nas been several additions to the school plant and in 1925 the dorml tory wee built. In 1929 the gymnasium was constructed with the teecherage located ln the upper east end, Also, Herrleburg, had its flret football team ln 1947, Several improvements have been mede on the campus in the lest few yeere such as enlarging the school building and putting a ceiling and stage in the gym, A time clock, venetian blinds, new fan-shaped backboerde, new furniture for the dormitory, new furnace in the gym, storm windows for the north side of the school house, and curtains in the gym to help sound effects All of these have been added to B.C.H.S. The present enrollment at B. C. Hb S- is 40.
