BASKETBALL The Harrisburg Wildcats had n very 5004 BeH90n in basketball this year by winning eighteen and Only 105108 four games. A The starting five was made up of 'lib' John on,Hal- ter Shafto, Tom Ven Felt, Dale MItchel', and Fred Hugh- banke. The reserves were George Van felt, 'Red' Cran- dell, Jack Cleveland and Bob 'Mo' Tholneon. During the whole season, the t :m's total SETS was 1127 points and the opponents' was a total of 954. The high scorers for Harrisburg were 'Tub' Johns0n with 505 points and Tom Van Pelt w12h 504 points. Wal- ter Shafto followed closely with a qotal of 272 points. The Wildcats were not very goci at the free throw line and made only 401 of the 408 P69'SU0tS they Were given. The Harrisburg five were dovaed in the finals of the Tri-county by Liberty with a score of 57 to 39. Then later in the District Tournament the Wildcats were defeated by Melbeta in the flnels with the score of 59 to 44. Next year the team will bi short three of the star- ting line up and one reserve. The reserve team won six games this year and lost ten games.
