Home Economics 8 Art ' fi at Miss Bernards devotes class time to teaching girls the aspects of homemaking skills in the Home Economics classes. ln Art, students are able to express the artistic abilities they possess through the help and guidance of their teacher, Mrs. Sargaent. Top left, Karen Vanderzanden works diligently on her sewing unit which consisted of making two bridesmaid gowns and a bridal gown. Top, Debbie julian and Diane Kjelland are making the beginning preparation of a de1icious.de1ight. Welding 8 Woodworking Mr. james Cooper Mr. Michael Moran Boys wishing to take general architectural and technical drafting are provided an opportunity to learn basics for commer- cial and home blue printing, woodworking, and drafting through the classes that Mr. Cooper teaches. Crafts, which is also taught by Mr. Cooper, gives students a chance to develop some of their creative ability, doing a variety of projects throughout the year. Mr. Moran is busy all year teaching different stages of Agriculture to Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. These boys study soil and have work projects throughout the year. Along with this, he gives students the chance to learn the skill of welding and some of the aspects of small engines through his Welding and Small Engine classes. Far top, left, Don Herinckx, Randy Krieger Steve Herinckx, Larry Landauer, and Larry Evers dedicate their skills to drafting. Far left, julie Clingman works skillfully at making a knotted yarn belt. Left, Pat Herinckx is busy Woodburn- ing his ag project. Top, Frank Yarbro applies his entire attention to filing down a section of a stool.
