What It Was - Was Football Couples danced to the tune, Reflections of the Times Long Past , which joined with the theme, What lt Was Was Football , for the 1970 Homecoming Dance. Decorations consisted of enlarged football pictures taken throughout the season while miniature footballs made appropriate souvenirs for the couples. The evening also included football slides shown by Robert Hamel. The court, who reigned over the dance, consisted of Queen Glenda Comstock, Senior Princess Valene Burns, Junior Princess Bobbie Zook, Sophomore Princess Janet Herb, and Freshman Princess Diane Van- Domelon. These girls were crowned at the highlight of the evening to the song of Reflections of the Times Long Past which was played by the Henry Deetz Orchestra. At far top, right, couples are shown viewin the decorations that adorned the mom. At right, couples reveaf their pleasure at seeing slides that highlighted the 1970 football season. Bottom ri ht shows the court consisting of, from l. to r. . Ianet Hexgb escorted gy Ron Knoke, Bobbie Zook escorted by Dan Pearson, Glenda Comstock es- corted by Mark Mead, Valene Burns escorted by Dave Kemper, and Diane VanDome1on escorted Hy Doyle Moore.
