Homecoming '7 The Homecoming game was only the climax of a very busy and spirited week. The days before were filled with students decor- ating the school halls and their wearing of a certain something' each day of the week to express their school spirit. Also, ex- citement prevailed with the tapping of the football court, who reigned over the dance, and the choosing of Miss Spirit, who led the serpentine through Banks on the day of the big game. Tradition was broken this year as students had to forfeit their bonfire to help prevent pollution. Instead, balloons were gathered throughout the week and on the night of the game they were dropped from the top of the grandstands and left to float to the ground. Halftime entertainment for the game was a per- formance given by the Band, Drill Team, and Pep Club. So, through the cooperation and help of all students and faculty, Homecoming week is something everyone can reflect back on with a feeling of pride! Above, Miss Spirit, Irene Moelmke, is shown leading the ser- pentine through Banks. Right center, Warren Clary, number l 25, breaks for a big gainer against Willamina. Fa.r right, spirit of the classes can be seen by the large number of balloons col- lected during Homecoming week. Bottom left, joy is mirrored in Glenda Comstock's face after her tapping by Larxly Evers. Bottom right, part of the half time entertainment o the game is displayed by Pep Club. I6
