Poetry readings were presented by Roxanne Metzger and Robert Sorensen. Robert rated excellent. Alan Roth, rated superior, and Terry Mohl, rated excellent, took part in group discussion. Karmen Tonjes and Pam Tietz gave interpretive public addresses. Pam received a good. loan Ronnenkamp received a superior, for her extemporaneous speech. ARTS? Robert Sorensen, Doug Mohl, Lyn-ette Brehmer, and Christy Johnson starred in the one-act drama, The Half Hour , which was chosen for the reading at the Logan Valley Contest. The reading was also presented at the district contest at Wayne. It was rated as good at both places. 21

Sandy Marr, Karen Ross, and Sally Lutjen gave'an oral interpretation of prose literature. Sandy received a superior at the contest. Television news commentaries were given by Allan Roth and John Ortmann. Allan rated excellent. FINE The one act-play, No Greater Love, was presented at the Logan Valley Contest at Newcastle, and received a good. It was a drama portraying the internal struggle of a young doctor who was trying to choose between riches and fame, and loyalty to his family and friends. The play cast included Ellen Gatzemeyer, Mary Leitow, Connie Lutjen, John Bring, and Dean Tietz. The play, as well as all the other dramatics entries, was directed by Mrs. Glenn Schilling.
