The seniors left in a bus at 6:30 A. M. , May 4. Their first stop was at a Fremont cafe where they ate breakfast. After leaving Fremont, they toured Boys Town. The remainder of the morning was spent shopping. At 1:30 the class met and toured the Omaha World Herald building. Later they again had free time. Many of them attended a movie. They enjoyed Cinerama at the Cooper Theatre following a delicious supper at the Fireside. The day was completed by leaving Omaha at 10:30 and eating lunch at Fremont. Upon returning to Bancroft, our sponsors found 14 tired, weary, but happy seniors!

I'm caught 11 dad Sfcddatd Your shoulders bleeding, Rex! 'Eeeeeeek! 'Stlck'em up, you moll! I hate, loath, despise beautiful women! Please forgive me, darling! April 14 was the date of the Senior Class Play. It was a mystery farce in three acts and a great success with the help of our director, Mr. Urwiler, and three capable stage hands. Butch Kai, Bill Cook, and Arlan Rodick. Carol Calloway (Sherry Dixon) didn't know what to do with a family of eccentrics. Sister lone (Mary Leimer) had gone wild over psychiatry. Little brother Sid (Paul Anderson) was crazy about gangsters. Aunt Eunice (Glenda Gatrost) was a push-over for phony mediums. The jittery maid Allie Katz (Judy Lutjen) and the lisping Dicky Bird (Don Schnier) won screams of laughter. Other characters included Miner Hawkwood (Bob Zobel), the mournful caretaker; his humpbacked nephew Benjy (Glen Simonsen); Rex Rosner (Maurice Grone), a young plastic surgeon; Clemuel McClatchin (Lyle Paulsen), an eerie undertaker; and Gerda Ravenstein (Dianne Canarsky), the runaway maniac. 14
