SENIOR CLASS HISTOR Y In the fall of 1944 the Senior Class of 1956 made their first appearance in the first grade with Judy Bray, Nina Bargmann, Margaret Gelsler, Kathryn Mielke, Merlyn Jacobsen, and Larry Bargmann. In the second grade Ardith Sorenson, and Carolyn Bettenhausen joined them . Shirley Bassett and Caryl Oberhelmann appeared In the third grade. Mervln Haase entered In the fourth grade. In the fifth grade Howard Peterson joined us. FRESHMEN -- Ken Echtenkamp -- Sponsor 12 girls and 8 boys. The class gained Carole Brehmer, Julie Gatzemeyer, David Gatzemeyer, Lois Mun-derloh, George Grone, Glen Zobel, John Hermelbracht and Mary Ann Schuetze. I, CAROLE BREHMER, will my personality to Helen Anderson so she will speak up more. I, TOM FREDRICKSON, will my curly hair to Wenda B. so she won't have to pin it up at 3 in the morning when she gets home. I, DAVID GATZEMEYER, will my ability to talk my way out of trouble to Burton G. so it will be kept in the family. I, JULIE GATZEMEYER, will my ability to get into trouble to Donna Kling so life won't be so dull for the teachers. I, GLEN ZOBEL, will my physique to Dennis Paulsen in hopes that he will lose weight.
