“SENIOR CLASS HISTOR Y In the fall of 1944 the Senior Class of 1956 made their first appearance in the first grade with Judy Bray, Nina Bargmann, Margaret Gelsler, Kathryn Mielke, Merlyn Jacobsen, and Larry Bargmann. In the second grade Ardith Sorenson, and Carolyn Bettenhausen joined them . Shirley Bassett and Caryl Oberhelmann appeared In the third grade. Mervln Haase entered In the fourth grade. In the fifth grade Howard Peterson joined us. FRESHMEN -- Ken Echtenkamp -- Sponsor 12 girls and 8 boys. The class gained Carole Brehmer, Julie Gatzemeyer, David Gatzemeyer, Lois Mun-derloh, George Grone, Glen Zobel, John Hermelbracht and Mary Ann Schuetze. President...........Julie Gatzemeyer Vice President....John Hermelbracht Sec .-Treasurer......Lois Munderloh Color Day Attendants.......Judy Bray Glen Zobel SOPHOMORES- - Ken Echtenkamp- -Sponsor 12 girls and 9 boys Tom Fredrickson joined our class. President................Glen Zobel Vice President......David Gatzemeyer CLASS I, LARRY BARGMANN, will my careful way of life to Jackie C. so she won't blow up so easily. I, NINA BARGMANN, will all my exboy friends to anyone who wants them as I'll find new ones in Omaha. I, SHIRLEY BASSETT, will my shortness to Leon S. so he won't have to look down on everybody. I, CAROLYN BETTENHAUSEN, will my diplomatic ways to Margie R.so she won't tell so many people off. I, JUDY BRAY, will my Denver men to no one as I'm going back there again. I, CAROLE BREHMER, will my personality to Helen Anderson so she will speak up more. I, TOM FREDRICKSON, will my curly hair to Wenda B. so she won't have to pin it up at 3 in the morning when she gets home. I, DAVID GATZEMEYER, will my ability to talk my way out of trouble to Burton G. so it will be kept in the family. I, JULIE GATZEMEYER, will my ability to get into trouble to Donna Kling so life won't be so dull for the teachers. I, MARGARET GEISLER, will my cheerleading ability to the Junior cheerleaders, as they really need it. I, LOIS MUNDERLOH, will LaNel to no one because I want him myself. I, CARYL OBERHELMANN, will my shyness to Lenora D. as she could use a little quietness. I, HOWARD PETERSEN, will my height to A. J. so he can take out taller girls. I, ARDITH SORENSON, will my mother's Merc, to no one until I find a boy with just as nice a car. I, GLEN ZOBEL, will my physique to Dennis Paulsen in hopes that he will lose weight. I, Larry Bargmann, President of the Senior Class of 1956, do hereby fix my signature as the only true and attested will of this class.
